Driver's Auto Repair - Houston Briar Forest
I just wanted to share my experience with Driver's. I visited Friday for an inspection and a quick check on my AC. This ended up taking over 2 1/2 hours. I woke up the next morning to a dead battery and called a local mechanic to check it out. He told me the mechanic who worked on my car had not properly reconnected the battery after looking at the AC component. After jumping the battery, I thought all was well. It wasn't until a few hours later that I realized my brake lights remained on, even after turning off my car. I took it to another mechanic down the street, who realized that part of the brake pedal switch had been completely broken during the inspection performed by the Driver's mechanic. Unbeknownst to me, my brake lights were on from the moment I left Driver's, staying on overnight and draining the battery, then remaining on throughout the day. A simple inspection performed by the Driver's mechanic ended up costing me over $100 in additional diagnostic/repair work. While I understand that mistakes can be made, I am very disappointed with my overall experience.
